We currently run one project called “Education through Agriculture” which seeks to empower the rural communities through innovative approaches to make farming income generating. The main aim of this project is to make sure every family practices the right farming techniques with the overall purpose of using part of the proceeds made from their farm harvests to pay their children in school. To date, we have 1,246 children we directly support through the project and 528 registered farmers.
We have started a farmers Savings group where 30% of the profits they make from their harvests are saved in their individual accounts with the overall purpose of paying their children in school.
This project is being supported by MSII SDG Challenge, Mastercard foundation and Arua City Food house.
